I think there is something that Yahoo & Flickr have absolutely not understood

In order to get money from ads ..they force us to click at least 3 times as much as above  but they can't give us more free time

Everyone has a private life, a job, a family, many other activities  to be  done  and the time we can spend on Flickr is not  extensible ad infinitum, as the number of clicks

So where is the gain for them.? We can't provide more clicks per hour . So we have to reduce our activity ....or even to stop ( 2/3 of my contacts are no longer posting )

This  may also be why they have implemented the " justified view " everywhere on the site.....to artificially inflate the statistics and rip off  advertisers

And I agree with you, the users of smartphones and tablets are not very interested in clicking  the various areas of the site They are neither curious nor motivated by photography.............They post and run :))))
